Orpington will be taking a safari party out into the wilds of Ken(t)ya* to face Thanet Wanderers Vets in memory of Joe Payne, who collapsed and died while playing for Thanet last year. Joe was a long-time member of Orpington, playing for the 1st XV for many years before serving as Chairman between 2000 and 2007, and this represents an ideal opportunity for both clubs to pay tribute in a way Joe would surely have appreciated.

The game will be hosted by Thanet Wanderers RFC at their St. Peter's ground and kicks off at 3pm this Saturday, 30th March.
